So Wednesday my mom called me and asked if we would like to go up to Michigan for a couple of days. This was good timing, because I had just come from running errands across town in 90 degree 100% humidity weather, in a car with no air conditioning, (not to mention my "delicate condition") and nothing sounded better than going to the cool, breezy weather of northern Michigan. I started packing as soon as I got off the phone with her. We went up to Mackinaw City Friday morning, even though Ben couldn't go with us, me and Marley had a blast. We did a lot of shopping, which wore out me and Marley, but the place we stayed in had a really nice pool, and indoor water park. Unfortunately, I was way to prego for the water slides, but my brother, Adam, was with us, and was able to take Marley on them. We got her a pair of water wings and she started swimming all by herself! In fact, when Adam or I tried to hold on to her, she'd push us away. She even kept putting her face under the water, then she'd come up, and laugh really hard. She said that she swam like a beautiful mermaid. We had such a great time! It felt so good to get out of the miserable Indiana summer! If Ben had been able to make it, I doubt we would've come back! Anyway, I have to get the pics off of my moms camera, but I'll be sure to post them when I do.
